Bobbin thread is a lightweight thread, specially designed to be used in machine embroidery. It is fine enough to keep compactly embroidered designs from being too rigid; thus avoiding puckering of fabrics. But, although fine and light in weight, it is strong enough to withstand the stress of high-speed stitching required in the functioning of embroidery machines. This proves that bobbin thread is much better than a regular thread. Also, the fineness of bobbin thread allows more thread to be wound on the bobbin than a regular thread.
